About me...

Hi, I'm Wes Fraser, I currently work at Oxford Brookes University as a Reader in Physical Geography. I am also a Visiting Research Fellow at The Open University investigating the application of a UV proxy to a long-term palynological record. Previously I have worked as a Research Associate at The University of Edinburgh investigating the emission of methane gas, and The University of Oxford investigating the influence of climate change on limestone walls. After originally training as a geologist, I moved into studying interactions between vegetation and natural ultraviolet radiation (UV), starting with the development of a novel proxy for UV radiation, and more recently how UV as a stress factor impacts upon plant chemical physiology.
